Continuous Cities

Continuous Cities is an ongoing collaboration myself and artist Katy Binks - creating one-off, large scale experimental screen prints that reflect both my graphic approach and Katy’s playful intrigue.

The name of the joint venture, Continuous Cities, is inspired by the novel Invisible Cities, by Italo Calvino - which can be read in any order, with multiple conclusions - a fitting parallel to our creative approach..

The resulting works celebrate happy accidents that the screen printing process can generate - full of texture and layering. We both have talked about how the process has changed their own separate work for the better - whilst we’ve also subconsciously swapped colour palettes!
