Surface & Object
I’ve been exploring new materials and processes for a while - slowly moving towards more sculptural objects and surfaces. I’ve also been hugely inspired along the way by recent travels which will be filtering into new works and new directions.
The main focus has been on casting tiles and relief works. These experiments have organically led to other ideas - ideas which are slowly sorting themselves out and will lead to further new processes over the coming months.
On this page are a few of the more successful outcomes - but it’s very much an ongoing journey which will reflect my love for that blurry area between form and function - design and art.

I’ve been having a love affair with cast concrete for years. - possibly due to growing up in Brutalist Coventry. Recent forays into casting relief works have been a lot of fun.

I love the modularity of these smaller relief tiles and will be keeping this strand of work moving.
I’ve been planning some small sculptural works for a while. My concrete mix and mould making both need some work - but it’s a fun journey.
A quick introduction to ceramics in 2025 has also fired up some ideas - so there will be more about that soon.
